# Quadrilateral V: Now Handle Properties of Trapezium with Ease!

It's now easier than ever before to understand properties of trapezium. Read on to find easy ways to remember properties of trapezium for upcoming SSC Exams.

Often SSC aspirants get confused between the properties of trapezium and parallelogram. In this post, we have briefly discussed properties of trapezium which will clear your confusion and help you solve geometric questions asked on them.

In our previous posts, we have discussed properties of parallelogramrectangle, and rhombus. Refer to these posts so that you can have a firm grip on properties of trapezium.

### What is a Trapezium?

A trapezium is a four sided, closed figure with a pair of parallel lines. It is a quadrilateral, and all its angles sum up to 360°.

### Properties of Trapezium 1:

In a trapezium ABCD, the bases (top and bottom) of a trapezoid are parallel, and all the angles, diagonals and sides are not congruent.

AB//CD

### Properties of Trapezium 2:

In a trapezium ABCD, EF the median, is a line which is parallel to the parallel lines and it is equidistant from them.

EF is the median

### Isosceles Trapezium

An isosceles trapezium is a type of trapezium where two non-parallel sides are equal. Iscocles trapezium is a cyclic trapezium where all the four vertexes lie on the circumference of the circle.

In a trapezium ABCD,

### Right-Angled Trapezium

If there are two right angles in a trapezium, then it is called as a right-angled trapezium.

In a trapezium ABCD,

∟DAB = 90°

### Scalene Trapezium

A scalene trapezium is a type of trapezium where all the sides are different in length.

Hope now it's no longer difficult for you to understand the properties of trapezium. Do write in the comment section on how this blog has helped you understand the properties of trapezium. Download some free questions for practice for the SSC CGL Exam.

# Quadrilateral IV: An Easy Way To Remember Properties of Squares

In this post, we will discuss Properties of Squares that will help you solve geometric questions that are asked in SSC CGL Exam.

Do you remember the cartoon character the “Sponge Bob”?  Well, who doesn’t?  The cute little sponge bob who made our childhood special. You might be wondering why are we discussing this? Can you remember the shape of Sponge Bob? Yes, you got it right! Square. Now, what do know about squares? Do we know the Properties of Squares?

In this post, we will discuss all the properties of squares that will help you attempt geometric questions that are asked in SSC Exams.

In our previous posts, we have discussed properties of parallelogram, rectangle, and rhombus. Quickly review these concepts to have a deep understanding of Properties of Squares.

### What is a Square?

A square is four sided closed figure. It is a parallelogram whose angles are perpendicular and all the sides are equal to each other.

### Properties of Squares 1:

In a square, all the sides are equal to each other.

AB = BC = CD = DA

### Properties of Squares 2:

In a square, opposite sides are parallel to each other.

AB// CD

### Properties of Squares 3:

In a square, All the angles equal to 90°.

∠A = ∠B = ∠C = ∠D = 90°

### Properties of Squares 4:

In a square, diagonals are equal in length.

AC = BD

### Properties of Squares 5:

In a square, diagonals bisect each other perpendicularly.

AC = BD; AO = BO = CO = DO

### Area and Perimeter of a Square:

Hope now it's easy for you to remember all the properties of squares.

# Quadrilaterals III - Learn 5 Rhombus Properties in Just 5 Minutes

### In this post, we will discuss top 5 Rhombus Properties that will help you solve questions that are asked on Quadrilaterals in SSC CGL Exam.

Kites and diamonds are objects that are in a shape of a rhombus. A rhombus is an attractive shape and often questions are asked on it in SSC Exams. Questions on rhombus from quadrilaterals can be solved easily if you know all the rhombus properties.

Before discussing rhombus properties, let's have a quick glance at our previous posts where we have discussed some special properties of a parallelogram and rectangle.

### What is a Rhombus?

A rhombus is a four sided, closed shape figure. It is a special type of parallelogram where all the sides are equal.

### Rhombus Properties 1:

In a rhombus, all the sides are equal to each other.
ABCD is a rhombus,
AB = BC= CD = AD

### Rhombus Properties 2:

In a rhombus, opposite sides are parallel to each other.
ABCD is a rhombus,
AB//CD and AB//BC

### Rhombus properties 3:

In a rhombus, diagonals bisect each other. ABCD is a rhombus where
AO = OC, BO = OD

### Rhombus Properties 4:

In a rhombus, all the angles equal to 360°
∠A +  ∠B + ∠C + ∠D = 360

Rhombus Properties 5:

In a rhombus, diagonals bisect each other perpendicularly.
∟AOB = ∟AOC = ∟COD = ∟DOD = 90°

### Area of a Rhombus
