CTET is in the pen and paper format  with a duration of 90 minutes. There is no negative marking but you should try not to attempt questions in a hurry as you might lose out on time. Hence, being unable to answer those you had the chance to.

It’s time-bound

Though CTET may appear simple and easy, when you get down to it, it is not so. The exam is a time bound one in which you have to answer 150 questions in 90 minutes. This gives you 36 seconds per question.  Also, the reading of passages and prose in the language section has to be done in this very timeframe.

Paper Pattern

Subject-specific content from textbooks is only 40 % of the test for Paper I and 47% for Paper II. The remaining questions pertain to Child Development and Pedagogy in the respective subjects, which is about 60% in Paper I and 53% in Paper II.

Tips to prepare for CTET 2017

  11. One day before your test, read your revision notes, relax, and focus on solving the question paper to the best of your ability.
