IBPS Common Recruitment Process Notification for Specialist Officers

IBPS Specialist Officer Recruitment 2017

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released its notification for IBPS Specialist Officer Recruitment 2017. The Online Common Written Exam for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for selection of personnel in Specialist Officers' Cadre posts in the participating organisations is tentatively scheduled in January 2017. A total of twenty banks and financial institutions are participating under CRP SPL-VI Exam 2017 for the appointment of suitable candidates. So, all those wishing to secure the high paying jobs in various banks across India, the time has come to gear up fast.

Important dates for CRP SPL-VI Exam 2017

The tentative schedule of the events is as follows:
  1. Online registration of application of candidates: November 16-December 2, 2016
  2. Payment of application fee (Online): November 16-December 2, 2016
  3. Download of Call Letter for examination: After January 16, 2017
  4. Tentative date of Online Examination: January 28 and 29, 2017
  5. Declaration of result status of exam (CWE): February 16, 2017
  6. Download of Call Letters for interview: February 24, 2017
  7. Conduct of interview: March 2017
  8. Provisional allotment: April 1, 2017

Eligibility criteria

1. Age Limit: Candidates' age should be minimum 20 years and maximum 30 years as on November 1, 2016. Candidate must have been born not earlier than November 2, 1986, and not later than November 1, 1996 (both dates inclusive). Age relaxation will be applicable as per norms.

2. Essential educational qualification: Candidates, intending to apply for CRP SPL-VI Exam 2017 should ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria specified by IBPS:
  • IT Officer (Scale-I): 4 year Engineering/Technology Degree in Computer Science /Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunications / Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation, or Post Graduate Degree in Electronics/Electronics & Tele Communication/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation/ Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Applications, or  Graduate having passed DOEACC 'B' level
  • Agricultural Field Officer (Scale-I): 4 year Degree (graduation) in Agriculture/Horticulture/Animal Husbandry/Veterinary Science/Dairy Science/ Fishery Science/Pisciculture/Agricultural Marketing & Cooperation/Co-operation & Banking/Agro-Forestry/Forestry/Agricultural Biotechnology/Food Science/Agriculture Business Management/Food Technology/Dairy Technology/Agricultural Engineering.
  • Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale-I): Post Graduate Degree in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree (graduation) level or Post Graduate Degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at the degree (graduation) level.
  • Law Officer (Scale-I): A Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) and enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council
  • HR/ Personnel Officer (Scale-I): Graduate and Full time Post Graduate degree or Full time Post Graduate diploma in Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/HR/HRD/Social Work /Labour Law*.
  • Marketing Officer (Scale-I): Graduate and Full-time MMS (Marketing) / MBA (Marketing)/Full time 2 years PGDBA/PGDBM/PGPM/PGDM with specialisation in Marketing*.
*In the case of dual specialisations, one of the fields of specialisation should be in the field prescribed; in the case of major/ minor specialisations, major specialisation should be in the stream prescribed.

Candidates having PG Degree (MMS or MBA)/PG Diploma with more than two specialisations are not eligible to apply.

Selection procedure

The selection process will comprise of online Common Written Exam and interview.

Registration process

Eligible candidates may apply online through official website www.ibps.in from November 16-December 2, 2016. The registration/application fee is Rs.600/- for General category and Rs.100 for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
