Long awaited IBPS Clerk CWE VI Notification is Out.

IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) notification for recruitment of Clerical Cadre in various Public Sector Banks is out and tentatively scheduled in November/ December 2016 & January 2017.

Before applying for the post of IBPS CWE CLERKS-VI candidates should ensure that you fulfil the eligibility criteria.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should be a Graduates i.e., have a Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government of India.

Age Limit:

Candidates should be a minimum of 20 years not exceeding 30 years 

Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1986 and not later than 01.07.1996 (both dates inclusive) 

Relaxation of upper age limit is 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD, 5 years for Ex-Servicemen.

Computer Literacy:

Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory.

Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT :

Candidates should know how to read, write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT for which vacancies the candidate is applying for.

IBPS CWE VI Exam Pattern Details

IBPS CWE Selection Process will be done in two stages First is Preliminary Common Written Exam & Second is Mains and then Provisional Allotment. 

IBPS Clerks CWE is an Objective type paper of 1 hour consisting of Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, and English Language. There are 100 questions for 100 marks. Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing cut-off marks to be decided by the IBPS. A number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for the main examination which is held online. Online Written Main exam includes five subjects of Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and Computer Knowledge each having a different weightage. This is a 135-minute exam for 200 marks. There is negative marking, for every wrong answer 0.25 marks are deducted.

A candidate should qualify in the CWE online main examination and be sufficiently high in the merit to be considered for subsequent provisional allotment process. On completion of the Main Examination, depending on the State/UT wise vacancies of the Participating Organisations, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the Participating Organisations, based on merit-cum-preference.


The application is only to be done online. Candidates can apply online only from 22.08.2016 to 12.09.2016.

Pre-Requisites for Applying Online:

Before applying online, candidates should— 
- Scan their photograph and signature ensuring that they adhere to the required specifications.
 - Keep the necessary details/documents ready to make Online Payment of the application fee.
 - Have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the completion of the Common Recruitment Process. IBPS may send call letters for the Examination etc. and even other details if required to the registered e-mail ID. Candidates should be careful while filling the online application as no change in any of the data filled in the online application will be possible. Before submission of the online application, you should use the “SAVE AND NEXT” feature to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required. Re-verify all the details before you submit. No change is permitted after clicking on FINAL SUBMIT Button. Candidates have to indicate in the online application the State to which they opt for provisional allotment on selection. The option once exercised becomes irrevocable.
